At Richard Chan Orthodontics, we’re lucky to have the best patients in the world! Dr. Chan and our team look forward to coming into the office every day because of the awesome kids, teens and adults we get to hang out with. Transforming a smile is a journey and over the course of treatment, we get to know our patients and their families on a personal level and form lasting bonds. What better way to say thank you for being the best than with a party? That’s exactly what we’re going to do at our 10th Annual Patient Appreciation BBQ at Blyth Park (16950 West Riverside Drive, Bothell). Mark your calendars because this year’s free event will be held on Thursday, August 16 from 11:30am to 2:30pm. It’s open to all of our Juneau, AK and Bothell, Monroe and Mill Creek, WA orthodontic patients and their friends and families. Why should you attend?
1. Delicious Food
We’ll be serving up hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, fruit, soda and more. There will be plenty for everyone, so come hungry! Our favorite grill master, Mike, who’s been our BBQ star for many years, will be there again this year. We’ll also have the always-popular snow cone machine on-hand to serve up refreshing treats.
The whole family is invited and the event is kid-friendly. There’s no need to find a babysitter to attend this bash. Considering many of our Juneau, Bothell, Monroe and Mill Creek braces and Invisalign patients are kids and teenagers and he’s a father himself, Dr. Chan has made sure the annual gathering will be filled with things for people of all ages to do.
3. Tons of Fun Stuff
We rented a bounce house and we’ll have an inflatable obstacle course. Bounce, run and jump your heart out. There will also be face painting, henna and, of course, great company!
4. Prizes and Giveaways
We’ll be raffling away prizes throughout the day. You’ll get tickets for drawings and chances to win gifts. We don’t want to give away all of the secrets by spilling the beans on this year’s prizes but be prepared to leave with some cool stuff!
5. Excellent Location
The BBQ will be held at Blyth Park in Bothell, WA. With almost 41 gorgeous acres, picnic shelters, a children’s play area, restrooms (always important!), a volleyball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, trails and paved walkways, the park has a lot to offer. If you arrive early or stay after the BBQ winds down, you can take some time to explore Bothell’s largest park.
6. Easy to Get To
We’ll have free parking and a courtesy shuttle service available near the Park at Bothell Landing (watch for our signs). If you’re traveling westbound on SR 522, go past Kaysner Way. After going under the overpass, take the left turn directly after the median at 101st Avenue NE. Once you make the turn, the gravel parking lot will be on your right. If you’re going eastbound on SR 522, go past the Park at Bothell Landing. Turn right on the road with the “City Park” sign directly after the gravel parking lot. Look for the “Richard Chan Orthodontics Shuttle Stop” sign and turn right into the gravel parking lot. The first shuttle will leave the lot near the Park at Bothell Landing at 11:15am and the last shuttle will leave Blyth Park at 2:45pm. The shuttle will arrive approximately every 10 minutes.
7. It’s FREE!
We know trying to keep the family entertained all summer long can get pricey and parents are always on the lookout for free Seattle-area family events. Well, our BBQ is our way of saying thanks. It’s free, fun and the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon with friends and family.
8. Hang Out With the Richard Chan Orthodontics Team
How often do you get to spend time with your orthodontic team outside of the office? Dr. Chan and the staff will be there with their families too. We’d love to celebrate with you and show you how much we appreciate you!
